Today, firefox it the most popular, widely used web browser in the world. It becomes dofficult for most of the web serfers like me to move to another machine or after changing OS and re-build the bookmarks, browsing history and passwords in firefox. So, here is a toll that can be used to take peropdic backup of all your firefox’s data, which can be restored on another machine and/or after installing fresh copy of firefox to use it just like before.

Follow the steps to know how to backup and restore firefox completely :

• First downloadFirefox Backup Tool and install it.
• After installation ,you will see Firefox Backup Tool window

• In the Firefox Backup Tool window, first select the path you want to create and save the backup file of the firefox.
• Check the items you want to take backup and add a password if you want to the backup file. It will be useful to password protect it as it contails cookies, browsing history and your saved passwords which may be misused.
• After you have checked the items you want to backup, click on backup to start backup process. Please make sure that you have closed firefox window before taking backup.
• After few seconds, it will take a backup of your firefox and will save in the file you specified.

Now take a look how to restore backup:

After you have taken backup, you can restore the same to use on different PC or after installing a new fresh copy of firefox. Folow the steps below to restore your backup using Firefox Backup Tool.

• Open Firefox Backup Tool, select Restore tab.

  

• Locate the backup file you have saved by clicking open.
• Check on Password for your backup and enter the password if you have given it while taking backup.
• After selecting the backup file and entering the password, simply press Restore to start restoration process. It will take few seconds to restore.

• Thats it! Your firefox’s everything is been sucessfully restored. 🙂
