Nokia Aeon combines two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. Each of the panels are capable of being used independently. The touch screen displays all buttons that are virtual, so in one situation one panel could operate as the display, the other as the keypad. Nokia also establishes a new wireless standard with wibree, basically an upgraded bluetooth which would allow the Aeon to be a thin-client, farming out processing and storage. The complete phone is virtual and the panels can be used for voice calls/ sending messages and enjoying the musical experiance from any panels.

Apple Inc. announced a lighter weight model of its popular iPhone. Aimed at a younger generation who can’t always afford the latest and greatest phones, the iPhone Shuffle saves 50% of its manufacturing costs by not providing a screen. Initially, we were skeptical this would make the product unusable. However, Steve Jobs calmed all of our fears. ‘We know what users want in life; they want excitement, surprises. And that’s where we’re going with this. You have no idea who you are calling, who is calling you, or if your phone is even on. You really need to be prepared to speak with anyone at anytime. Your boss, your mom, your girlfriend. I present you with iPhone Shuffle.’

There’s even 512MB of internal memory on top of a microSD expansion slot. A software program, MindPad, lets users draw characters and symbols with a finger for rapid and simple input. If that isn’t sufficient geek magnet, Bogar’s amalgamation of titanium and stainless steel is deliciously chic enough to cause jaws to drop when you whip it out. We certainly like the sliding mechanism which allows this little sexpot to convert into a clock or digital photo frame when not in action.

It actually reminds me the famous James Bond Movie, where Agent 007 carries all such Gizmo Gadgets.
