Upgraded to Dell 1525 laptop

When I started my blog, I was using an old desktop purchased in year 2002 with Intel Pentium 4 processor, 128 MB RAM and 40 GB hard disk. I upgraded it later to 512 MB RAM and 160 GB hard disk and a CD-RW. It was sufficient for me as I was not a geek or hard worker on the PC. But, according to 2002, it was the latest technology available in the market. It cost me about $900! But as I learned many things on it, I felt need of greater power so I planned for a laptop.

I was earlier planning to purchase a desktop with cool configuration like core2quad, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard disk, but then it could consume much electricity and I was looking for a low-electric consuming PC. So I preferred a laptop. It was more comfortable and mobile. And in India, there is a problem of power cuts. It interrupts in the work for 2 to 3 hours.

A laptop fulfills all my needs so I went for a laptop! Now, in February ‘09 I purchased a Dell 1525 laptop with good configuration including Intel Core2Duo 2.0 GHz processor, 3 GB of physical memory and 250 GB hard drive in $800. It is a cool looking laptop with awesome performance. It included cool features like Windows Vista, 15.4’ wide screen TFT monitor, 2.0 Mp web cam, a IR remote for multimedia and presentations, and a long lasting battery. It also has one HDMI and an S-Video port to connect the display with high definition LCD TV’s.

Dell provided a nice product in awesome price and a much better after sales service. It has 1 year on sight replacement warranty. Just one phone call to the company and their engineer will come to home in less than 48 hrs, and make necessary updates, modification or replace the whole product with a new one. That’s why I chose Dell and not any other company. No other company provides such after sales service.

Here are some screen shots of my laptop…

It is a really nice product and price worthy. If you are looking for a cool looking laptop with good configuration and price worthy, go for this one. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed 🙂
