EVDO – BSNL’s wireless broadband

BSNL introduced EVDO, a usb modem, the wireless broadband. It is available in the selected cities only. Please contact your nearest BSNL telephone exchange / Commercial office for more details and availability. The BSNL EDDO modem is USB based, making it easy for Desktop computers as well as Laptops. BSNL claims the maximum speed of about 2.4MB/S but in actual, it reaches maximum to 1.0 MB/s. it works pretty good so far. speed though varies depending on the signal strength.

This USB modem looks cool and it also gives a good speed. The driver provided by it is used to connect to the internet. It also shows total download during a particular period and total downloading during a month.
